Rina and Jon | Wedding on Toronto Island

No Comments Cinematography, Same Day Edit, Wedding Day

Rina actually booked us on a very short notice and luckily we turned out to be available on this day. This couple loves travel and wherever they go, they take a self portrait of them kissing with a compact camera. They actually did the same on their wedding ceremony.

The preparation started in the hotel Westin Harbour Castle right by Toronto Harbour Front. So the only traveling involved on this day were by the water.

The Toronto Island is of no doubt one of the top choices for couples who love both the beach and the urban scenery. With a fairly small group of about 100, Rina picked the Waterfront Montesorri that faces directly the CN Tower across the lake. Guests arrived on pre-booked water taxis that drops passenger off right at the ceremony site.

Catering at this location is actually much better than we thought, a large grill was set up by the house and steaks were in front of everyone soon after the reception dinner started. Rina’s father had a great idea of using this special venue. He managed to find a boat that carried a full load of fireworks, to the centre of the lake between the island and the city. The beautiful fireworks announced the start of the night long party.
